Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications from qualified candidates of India Nationality to recruitment for 44 posts of Junior Scientific Officers,   Medical Officers/ Research  Officers  (Unani), Gliding  Instructor, Scientists SB (Chemical), Junior Scientific Officer (Material  Science/ Metallurgy), Senior Photographic Officers, Statistical Investigators Grade-I, Joint Secretary and Legal Advisers, Mining Geologists, Assistant Mining Geologist and Veterinary  Officers. The candidates, who fulfill prescribed eligibility criteria as per UPSC recruitment notification, they may apply online for the post by last date July 26, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for the Posts – UPSC Recruitment 2016

Nationality : Indian
Age Limit :
Age for Junior Scientific Officers,  Statistical Investigators Grade-I and Assistant Mining Geologist : 30 years.
Age for Medical Officers/ Research Officers, Gliding Instructor, Scientists SB, Junior Scientific Officer, Senior Photographic Officers and Veterinary Officers : 35 years.
Age for Mining Geologists : 40 years
Age for Joint Secretary and Legal Advisers : 50 years
Age Relaxation : Relaxation of upper age limit will be available upto 03 years for OBC candidates, 05 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates.

Educational Qualification :
Junior Scientific Officers : M.Sc.  in  Microbiology  from  a  recognized  university  or institute; Or M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology or Microbiology or Mycology from a  recognized  university  or  institute; Or M.Sc.  in  Agriculture  with  specialization  in  Soil Science  or  Agricultural  Chemistry  or  Agronomy  or  Microbiology  or  Plant  Pathology  or Horticulture  or  Agricultural  Extension  from  a  recognized  university  or  institute. And Two years experience in the field of research and development of biofertilisers and other aspects of organic farming.

For Medical Officers/ Research Officers : A degree in Unani Medicine from a Recognised University/ Statutory State Board/Council/ Faculty of Indian Medicine.

For Gliding Instructor : 10+2 with physics and Mathematics. Two hundred hours of experience on glider.

For Scientists SB : Master’s degree in Chemistry (Pure/Applied/Industrial) or Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology of a recognised University or equivalent. Three years experience of Chemical analysis of organic/inorganic/allied materials in a recognized laboratory.

For Junior Scientific Officer : Master’s Degree in Material Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Material Science or Metallurgy from a recognized University. And Three years’ research experience in the field of material science or metallurgy.

For Senior Photographic Officers : Degree from a recognized University. And Three years’ experience in various branches of photography including experience in Press Photography in an organisation in the field of print or Audio-Visual Media.

For  Statistical Investigators Grade-I : Master’s Degree in Statistics or Mathematics (with Statistics) or Economics (with Statistics) or Commerce (with Statistics) from a recognized University or equivalent.

For Joint Secretary and Legal Advisers : Degree in Law of a recognized University or LLB and he has been a member of the Indian Civil Service permanently allotted to the judiciary or of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than sixteen years or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than sixteen years or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than sixteen years.

For Mining Geologists : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University/Institute. And five (5) years’ experience in geological mapping, prospecting and exploration for mineral and ore deposits.

For Assistant Mining Geologist : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or Institute.

For Veterinary Officers : A recognized Veterinary qualification included in the first schedule or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1982 *(Number 52 of 1984) and Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council or Indian Veterinary Council.

Selection Process :
The Selection will be made on the basis of Recruitment Test & Interview.

Application Fee :
The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card. SC/ST/PH/Women candidates who are exempted from payment of fee.
